What you need to take a 110v appliance overseas
- If it is electric and between 50 and 1875 watts, take the 50-1875
watt converter and the appropriate adapter for your destination. [This
information updated as of March 13, 2000]
- If it is electric and between 1-50 watts, take the 1-50 watt mini-transformer
and the appropriate adapter for your destination.
- If it is electronic and between 1-50 watts, take the 1-50 watt mini-transformer
and the appropriate adapter for your destination.
- If it is electronic and OVER 50 watts, take the right wattage transformer
and the appropriate adapter for your destination.
What you need to take a dual voltage appliance overseas
- The appropriate adapter (3-pin grounded or 2-pin) for your destination.
What you need to take a dual voltage computer and modem overseas
- Select appropriate grounded adapter for country of destination.
- Select appropriate telephone jack adapter for country of destination.
- Confirm presence of digital phone system. If yes, take a digital interface.
- Tax impulsing in Germany and Austria will require a line filter.
- You may also need a line tester to ensure that you have a good line
for your modem.
- A 220v surge protector. May require a grounded adapter plug.
What you need to take a 110v computer and modem overseas
- Select appropriate transformer and grounded adapter for country of
your destination. Allow a buffer of 10 watts before choosing transformer.
- Select appropriate telephone jack adapter for country of destination.
- Check presence of digital phone system. .
- Tax impulsing in Germany and Austria will require a line filter. .
- You may also need a line tester to ensure that you have a good line
for your modem.
- A 110v surge protector (plugged into the transformer), or a 220v surge
protector and an adapter plug, which are plugged directly into the wall.
