Happy New Year/State of the blog

Happy new year all!

If you had any travels over the holidays, I hope they were smooth and without any problems.

You probably noticed that my posts have been MIA recently; with the holidays, I’ve been pretty busy, and I’ve been sick these past few weeks.

Nothing to fret about, though. I still plan on posting more this year!

If you tried any travelite techniques that worked well, or you ran into any problems, do let me know.

  1. I’m rather proud of myself that on a solo four-day trip to the east coast last October, I brought one smallish suitcase and my laptop bag, and made out just fine, even with the un-California cold and rain. I used hotel toiletries for the most part and bought the few things I need when I arrived–and used them up before I left.

I took advantage of a free offer through Hyatt’s frequent-guest program last year for a free Clear membership and this trip was the first time I used it. It made getting through TSA -so- incredibly smooth that I’m almost certain to renew when it comes up.

It’s not 13 ounces to Europe but I think I did all right. (Now don’t ask about how much we packed for our nine-day southwest road trip…)
